Colleen - More Than Four Sides
Today I want to introduce you to Colleen, someone who's most vibrant and alive self I had the chance to share time with in one of the most beautiful places in the world
Colleen and I recently connected in the Canadian Rockies, a place she knows well and a place I had the chance to see with her. Colleen is not unlike the towering mountains or the perfectly placed snow we spent our time in, she is one that like the mountains stands firmly on what matters to her and at the same time lays gently like the snow besides those she cares for
She shares with me why she believes time to be one of the greatest gifts we have and why spending it both intentionally and efficiently impact how she values it most. She shares the heaviness that can be felt between a sense of heart and duty and how those two fare when it comes to direction in life at times
When was the last time you felt like your most vibrant self?
Do you remember the last time you felt truly alive, do you remember where you were, what you were doing, or who you were with?

We talk about the importance of pressing in and not losing our zest for life, how loss changes us, and how the impact of those we learned from stays with us
We talk about how the world might be a little kinder if we each learned to value others choices a little more, why accepting ourselves a little sooner in life wouldn't be the worst thing, and why happiness doesn't mean someone didn't work hard to attain it
Colleen is one that observes and responds to those around her with understanding, she is one that knows the struggle life can be and chooses to show up for others in those hard places when she can, she is one that reminds others in the way she lives that it's ok to think of someone else first, but also one that doesn't negate her own value in the process
So tune in today and meet this adventure chasing, mountain climbing, angelic singing friend of mine
And to you Colleen thank you, thank you for being a girl that loves seeing the smile on another's face, for the way you patiently value what's important to the person in front of you, for pushing me oh so gently and firmly to not let my fear hold me back, for allowing me to learn from and get to know the genuine friend that you are. Looking forward to many more mountains and sledding together! @adventureiscolleen Join my travel community HERE
