Collin shares with me what relocating to Alaska has been like, what his training to become a bush pilot entails, and what moment in his life created a foundation for joy to be present. We talk about how he feels people value a deeper sense commitment to each other in Alaska, why fear is something he intentionally presses into, how he finds joy in pushing his body and learning what it is capable of, and how he values family but also the ability some have to welcome others into their family and how he values the deep impact he has made in those connections. Collin is an incredibly thoughtful soul, one who is aware of those around him and the needs of others in a genuinely responsive way. He truly creates a space that allows those who spend time with him the freedom to let down their guard and not fear judgment. Collin is one who listens to learn and grow not just to respond, he is a kind, and not afraid to speak up and one who does so from a place of love and care.
